Dr. Jason Whittaker
Dr. Jason is originally from Toronto and has spent most of his life in the Greater Toronto Area. After graduating with a PhysEd degree from Brock University in St. Catharines, he attended and graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1997. He began his chiropractic career as director of Power Chiropractic where he successfully (with Dr. Danella) ran his first wellness-based family practice for 4 years. In 2002, he and Dr. Danella joined the team at King City Natural Health Centre to further their work with the families of the community of York Region. The decision to move to Winnipeg, Manitioba in August, 2005 was an exciting adventure and he is now the proud director of Family First Chiropractic & Wellness in St. Vital, Winnipeg. Dr. Jason has spent 18 years researching and training and is now a sought after speaker on health and wellness issues and has spoken throughout the provinces of Ontario and Manitoba, as well as throughout the the US. He has a particular interest in the wellness care of families and children, performance care for athletes and the science behind the mind/body connection as it relates to human potential. Dr. Danella Whittaker
Dr. Danella is originally from Dauphin, Manitoba. After graduating with a Phys Ed degree from the University of Manitoba, she attended and graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1999. She began her chiropractic career joining Dr. Jason at Power Chiropractic and later at King City Natural Health Centre in Ontario. Dr. Danella gained her tremendous adjusting skills and love for serving others when as a student and early graduate she participated in three mission trips to Panama. Adjusting thousands of appreciative and welcoming Panamanians per day transformed Danella and provided her with the opportunity to see first hand the amazing self-healing power of the body. Dr. Danella has a particular interest in pediatrics and pregnancy care. She was instrumental in establishing the first pediatric club at CMCC and has undergone extensive post graduate study in pregnancy care. On Sept. 8th, 2001 Dr Danella and Dr. Jason tied the knot and now are proud parents of their gorgeous little daughter, Emma. The move to Winnipeg was prompted to be closer to Dr. Danella's family. Danella's interests include rowing, reading, yoga and spending time with family. Dr. Danella was recently nominated for the YMCA Women of Distinction award in the health and wellness award. When you meet her you will immediately understand why she was nominated for this prestigious award.
